What up my peeps?! This week's Thriveday was different but still wonderful. I am currently blogging from my home, where I have been since Thursday. There are so many things I love about this place but what sticks out is the fact that food just tastes better when I'm home. The past few days I rotated cookie dough cereal, wraps, carrots and hummus, and protein shakes as my meals. Thursday morning I put a stop to this and headed home to a food-filled paradise.
Thursday's breakfast was spent in my school cafeteria. Took me right back to freshmen year when I still lived in the dorms and thought it was ok to order pizza around 11 o clock pm 4 nights a week. Oh, college. I forgot my camera, but I'm sure you can imagine what 2 burnt pieces of toast and rubbery eggs looks like.
Once at home base, I grabbed Mums and jumped into the car for errands. This included waiting 2 hours at the DMV to renew my driver's license. I wish someone would have told me the picture would be around for 8 years before I decided to only "half smile". In the car I had a snack.
I grabbed
this snack at at health convention I attended with Biff back in December. Oh my goodness delicious. These chips tasted like a much better version of rice cakes. Loved it.
Around 3pm Mums and I decided it was time for a late lunch/ early dinner. Olive Garden for the win.

I am usually a soup, and all hot foods/drinks, protestor but this soup is bangin. I get it every time I hit up the OG. I always avoid the beans like the plague, but the rest is perfection.
I spent the remainder of the evening on the couch watching TV shows about weddings, kid's bday parties, and extreme coupon clippers. Interesting and relaxing.
Friday morning I jumped out of bed, got myself ready and headed to Orlando for a shoppingfest with Mums. Before leaving I assembled breakfast.

| pb oats, berries |
I made hot oats for the first time in quite awhile. It was suddenly 50 degrees in FL, aka freezing.
After traveling and shopping a bit, we stopped for lunch. Destination: Cheesecake Factory, where all of my food loving dreams come true. We ordered small salads and a pizzette to split.

That salad looks good right? Wrong. It was swimming in dressing and the lettuce was the strangest thing ever.
 |
| what is that?! |
Call me picky, but when it comes to lettuce I prefer iceberg, romaine, spinach if I'm feeling adventurous but this stuff? Tasted like sticks. This resulted in me eating all of the cucumbers and devouring this basket of love.

I also had a slice of pizzette sans cheese, so basically more bread. Bread for lunch. Awesome. We ended up ordering cheesecake to go with the hopes of fixing the salad disaster.

| Craig's Crazy Carrot Cake Cheesecake |
This made everything better. Carrot cake swirled with cheesecake? Yes, please. And the dollop on top of the cheesecake is cream cheese icing. To die.
After making laps around the mall, we hit up the outlets and continued to stimulate the economy. I also visited The 'Bucks and took advantage of their Tribute Days.

The cupcake was totally free and delicious! The icing was by far the best part. Notice the new label on the cup? I'm not really feeling it..
After about 12 hours of traipsing around (not kidding) we finally landed back at home. Twas a wonderful day resulting in this.

I ended up going to bed around 10:30. Shopping is exhausting but in a good way. Almost as good as the food I eat when I come home.
Looks like souxh fun! I love shopping and eating! Always always always order Cheesecake Factory salads with dressing on the side! And if you tell them they'll give you w/e lettuce you want...I'm not a spring mix fan either!
ReplyDeleteWhat great tips! I will remember that next time I go to Cheesecake Fact!
